What lasers do you use?

For Laser Hair Removal services we use Candela lasers that allow us to use either Alex or Yag settings.

Do you have a Groupon for larger areas (i.e.: legs, etc.)?

Due to the amount of time needed for legs, we do not offer a Groupon for this service. Please feel free to call us or check our pricing page of our website for prices and specials. Our best value for larger areas is our Sedo Select Membership.

Does Laser hurt?

Some people are more sensitive than others, but the vast majority of our clients tolerate the treatments extremely well. If you are more sensitive, we can always give you a break or slow down on the pulses. Our laser machines pulse a blast of super cooled cryogen at the same time that the laser pulses, so the skin tends to get ‘confused’ as to the sensation. We do our very best to make our clients as comfortable as possible.

Will I have the same technician at every appointment?

If you prefer to have the same technician at each appointment, we will make every effort to accommodate you throughout your treatments and make this happen.

Can you treat dark skin?

Yes we can. Our variety of lasers enable us to treat a large variety of skin tones.

Can I be on medication at the time of my service?

It all depends on the photosensitivity of the medication that you are on. Some antibiotics and over-the-counter meds, as well as many acne medications ten to increase your photosensitivity. Please consult your physician to answer any questions you may have concerning your ability to be treated.

Why can’t I tweeze/wax/Nair/pluck?

Our lasers “look” for the pigment that is inside the hair follicle. The above practices remove the root and pigment of the hair, so that the laser has nothing to attack. This will result in a less than satisfactory result for you.

Will all of my hair be gone after 6 treatments? How many treatments will I need?

Our goal is to achieve an 85-95% reduction in hair growth after 6 treatments. Most people should expect to need touchups, but we pride ourselves on keeping our touchup prices extremely competitive for our clients.

Do you take walk-ins?

Due to the fact that our technicians stay booked in advance, we are unable to accommodate walk-ins for laser treatments. We do, however, build time into your initial appointment for a consultation so that you can get your questions answered and get comfortable with your technician as well as the process prior to your first treatment.

What would keep me from being treated?

Certain medications, sun exposure, pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent waxing, plucking, or threading are all reasons we would not be able to treat you. There are other medical contraindications that should be considered prior to your treatment. Please consult your physician to answer any questions you may have concerning your ability to be treated.

Can I be treated while pregnant or breastfeeding?

The risks of laser hair removal during pregnancy have not been clearly proven or disproven, so for this reason we do not perform Laser Hair Removal on expecting or lactating mothers.

What do I need to do before I arrive at my appointment? How early do I need to arrive?

We require that you discontinue waxing, plucking, or tweezing for 3-4 weeks, shave 1-2 days prior, avoid the sun or self-tanners for 1-2 weeks prior, and check with your physician about any medications that you are unsure of. Please allow enough time to arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to fill out our new client information.

Can I shave before/between my treatments?

Yes, we recommend that you shave as need between appointments and 1-2 days before your next appointment.

Can I wax or pluck before/between my treatments?

No, please refrain from waxing, plucking, or threading for 3-4 weeks prior to your treatment and in between your treatments.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please let us know at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you need to reschedule or cancel to avoid a $25 late cancellation/no show fee. We will make every effort to get your appointment rescheduled as soon as possible, but please be aware that if you miss an appointment, it may take some time to get you back in.

What if I am going to be late to my appointment?

Please call us. If you are 5 minutes late or more to a 15 minute appointment, we will most likely to have reschedule you, although we will make every effort to work you in, please be aware of our late/no show policy above.

What if I’m late for my Sedo Select Membership appointment?

Please call us. We can treat you for the remainder of your scheduled time or reschedule you for a later date. Please be aware of our late/no show policy above.

Can I tan (real or fake) while being treated?

No. For your safety we cannot treat tan (real or fake) skin.

Will the hair be gone forever?

Laser hair removal results in permanent hair reduction. Factors such as hormones, pregnancies, etc. can cause the hair to begin regrowth, or possibly “awaken dormant follicles”.

Can I bring my children/friend/significant other to my appointment?

Our insurance strictly forbids anyone other than the client being treated to be in the treatment room.

What if I get off of the 4-6 weeks schedule?

We will want to get you back on schedule as soon as possible. Our goal is to give you the best results that we possibly can, and regular treatments are an important part of that process.

Can I be treated during my menstrual cycle?

We understand that a woman’s cycle is a natural part of life and occasionally your treatment schedule might coincide with your menstrual cycle. When wearing a tampon, your treatment can be completed as normal.

What if I decide that I want to add more areas?

Laser Hair Removal is an amazing process that makes life easier, so it is very likely that once you begin the process you will want to add more areas to your treatment program. We will be happy to talk to you about adding areas, either by upgrading your package or joining our popular membership program, Sedo Select.
