LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Do lasers hurt?

Some people are more sensitive than others, but a majority of our clients tolerate the treatments well. If you are more sensitive, we can always give you a break or slow down on the pulses. Our laser machines pulse a blast of super cooled cryogen at the same time that the laser pulses, so the skin tends to get ‘confused’ as to the sensation. We do our very best to make our clients as comfortable as possible.

What lasers do you use?

For Laser Hair Removal services we use Candela lasers that allow us to use either Alex or Yag settings.

How long should I wait between appointments for Laser Hair Removal?

We will typically schedule your treatments for every 4-6 weeks.

Can you treat dark skin?

Yes we can. Our variety of lasers enable us to treat a large variety of skin tones.

Can I be on medication at the time of my service?

It all depends on the photosensitivity of the medication that you are on. Some antibiotics and over-the-counter meds, as well as many acne medications tend to increase your photosensitivity. Please consult your physician to answer any questions you may have concerning your ability to be treated.

Why can’t I tweeze/wax/Nair/pluck between my Laser Hair Removal appointments?

Our lasers “look” for the pigment that is inside the hair follicle. The above practices remove the root and pigment of the hair, so that the laser has nothing to attack. This will result in a less than satisfactory result for you.

What do I need to do before I arrive for my Laser Hair Removal  appointment?

We require that you discontinue waxing, plucking, or tweezing for 3-4 weeks, shave 1-2 days prior, avoid the sun or self-tanners for 1-2 weeks prior, and check with your physician about any medications that you are unsure of.

Can I shave before/between my treatments?

Yes, we recommend that you shave as needed between appointments and 1-2 days before your next appointment.

Can I wax or pluck before/between my treatments?

No, please refrain from waxing, plucking, or threading for 3-4 weeks prior to your treatment and in between your treatments.

Will all my hair be gone after 6 treatments Laser Hair Removal? How many treatments will I need?

Our goal is to achieve an 85-95% reduction in hair growth after 6 treatments. Most people should expect to need touchups, but we pride ourselves on keeping our touchup prices extremely competitive for our clients.

Will the hair be gone forever?

Laser hair removal results in permanent hair reduction. Factors such as hormones, pregnancies, etc. can cause the hair to begin regrowth, or possibly “awaken dormant follicles”.

Do you have a Groupon for larger areas (i.e.: legs, etc.)?

Due to the amount of time needed for legs, we do not offer a Groupon for this service. Please feel free to call us or check our pricing page of our website for prices and specials. Our best value for larger areas is our Sedo Select Membership. You can learn more here https://sedolaser.com/sedo-select-2/

Can I be treated during my menstrual cycle?

We understand that a woman’s cycle is a natural part of life and occasionally your treatment schedule might coincide with your menstrual cycle. When wearing a tampon, your treatment can be completed as normal.

What if I decide that I want to add more areas?

Laser Hair Removal is an amazing process that makes life easier, so it is very likely that once you begin the process you will want to add more areas to your treatment program. We will be happy to give you more information about our Sedo Select membership which allows unlimited areas to be treated.

Can I be treated while pregnant or breastfeeding?

The risks of laser hair removal during pregnancy has not been clearly proven or disproven, so for this reason we do not perform Laser Hair Removal on expecting or lactating mothers.
